A study presented at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2015 Scientific Sessions indicates that vitamin D may have a role in the pathogenesis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, a painful side effect of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The authors of the study plan to do an intervention study to determine if this is a significant finding.
