Chiropractic Manipulation for Recurrent Headaches in Children Aged 7-14

Chiropractic manipulation has demonstrated to have a positive effect for adults with migraine and cervicogenic headaches. The first large scale randomized clinical trial looking at the effectiveness of this treatment for children with recurrent headaches found the treatment group to have, “…significantly fewer days with headache and better GPE (Global Perceived Effect) when compared with a validated sham manipulation procedure.” This is detailed in the 2021 open access article titled, Effectiveness of chiropractic manipulation versus sham manipulation for recurrent headaches in children aged 7-14 years – a randomized clinical trial,  from Chiropractic & Manual Therapies.
