June 1, 2011 - Beaverton, Oregon - The Board of Directors of The CHP Group (CHP) announced June 1, 2011 that Michell Hay has been appointed as CHP’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “As we considered candidates, there was simply no one who could compare to Michell in terms of depth of experience, dynamic leadership skills, and passion for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). We are extremely confident in her ability to lead CHP during this time of rapid change in the healthcare industry as a CAM organization focused on delivering access to quality providers and expertise in administering CAM benefits,” said Dr. Bruce Chaser, Chairman of the CHP Board of Directors.
Chaser added, “Michell brings more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector and the business acumen necessary to lead CHP through this era of health care reform. We are pleased to have her judgment, intellect, professionalism, and passion as CEO. We feel that she brings balanced alignment between all CHP stakeholders as we focus on growth and sustainability.”
Hay has been with The CHP Group since June of 2006 serving as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining The CHP Group, Hay held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Bretthauer Oil Company, a Hillsboro, Oregon-based petroleum company.
